- 3 lbs lean ground beef
- 3 (28 ounce) cans baked beans, undrained (your favorite brand will be fine)
- 1 medium onion, diced small
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
directions
- Brown beef in a large high-sided skillet or soup pot. Drain the fat from the beef and discard. Return the cooked beef to the pot and add the onion, beans, and barbecue sauce. Cook for about 30 minutes over medium heat, stirring occaisionally. Serve with corn muffins, fried potatoes, hot sauce, or diced raw onion.

This was an interesting dish. My dh & I have never tried anything like this before. It was a pleasant surprise. Quick and easy to make with a nice flavor. I added a lot of hot pepper sauce to the beans, we like it hot. We did prefer the beans the following day, the flavor of the sauce had permeated the meat more. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Made for Spring PAC 2014.
