Banana Chip Bars

Super easy and absolutely delicious. These bars never last longer than a few hours at our house.

Great way to use extra ripe bananas! The only thing I did differently is to use semi-sweet chocolate chips. I know that some chocolate chip cookie bars can be dry and crumbly, but these are very moist bars (a little sticky, actually, so I'm keeping them in the refrigerator -- even though they won't last more than a day or two)!

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  5. Stir in mashed bananas.
  6. Add flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Pour into prepared 9x13 pan.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Let cool and cut into bars.
