Applewood Farmhouse Hot Fudge Pie

"This recipe comes from the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant in Tennesse. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and their food is so good!"

• Yields: 6 slices
• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup pecans, chopped
• 3 ounces butter, melted
• 1 ounce vanilla
• 2 1⁄2 ounces semisweet chocolate
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄3 cup flour
• 1 1⁄4 cups sugar

directions

1. Melt the butter and chocolate together.
2. Add all remaining ingredients except the pecans.
3. Fold in pecans.
4. Mix well and pour into pie shell.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Made this for a group of chocolate lovers. I found the 30-40 minutes baking time had to be had to be increased as the filling was soupy at 40 minutes. The pie was very moist and most said it reminded them of a decadent brownie.
