  1. This is such a wonderful apple crisp!! The apricot jam, macadamia nuts, and smaller amount of added fat make it deliciously modern! And it is very tasty with, or without, whipped cream or ice cream. The only substitutions I made were: whole wheat pastry flour and butter--both of which worked great. I really love (!!!) that this recipe is lighter in calories; we can enjoy what is usually just a special occasion dessert more often! Thanks so much for sharing it, appleydapply!! 2. Great dessert, scaled back for 3 using 4 granny smith apples and used a small square container. I did mix my crumble in a food processor but would not do it again, definately think it would be better to do manually (mine sort of glued together). maybe due to the square squatiness of container it took 45 minutes to cook at 175C fan forced oven and served with cream. Thank you appleydapply, made for Newest ZAAR Tag.
