Oatmeal Apple Streusel

  • Butter a baking dish and place in it the 3 apples peeled and sliced.
  • Mix with a fork or pastry blender: flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, cinnamon, margarine, and salt.
  • Spread flour mixture over the apples.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes or intil the apples are tender.

  1. I used rice flour instead of wheat, probably a 1/2 TBSP of cinnamon, cold butter, and added a good handful of almonds. Pulsed everything except oats until crumbly, then stirred in the oats. Still in the oven. Smells delish.

  1. Used more apples and unsalted butter and added some biscotti crumbs to the mix on top too! Delicious.
