Something must be missing from this recipe. These cakes do not stick together. When we finally managed to get them into a crumbly ball, they fell apart in the oil. After ladeling out my deep-fried sunflower "mush," I let it cool and looked up a "Navajo Fry Bread" recipe. I added about 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, and 2/3 cup water. (The sunflower mixture subbed for the flour in the recipe.) They held up better this time around. These still weren't too popular. A few were tasted, but I had to throw almost all of them away.
