  1. I tried this recipe because it was super fast and with and infant and a toddler keeping me on the go, there isn't much time to fix dinner after a full day of work! I had it put together and in the oven in no time. It was wonderful, my DH and DD were both big fans! I did not put the bacon in and used the whole pound of sausage and it tasted great. we are garlic fans - I might add some garlic powder the next time for some added flavor.

  2. Sounds delicious! Reminds me of the one they make at Cracker Barrel. I will definitely make this one, thanks!

  3. Simple and filling, we liked this OK for a weeknight supper. Like jachristensen, I omitted the bacon and used a whole pound of sausage. I also added in some chopped green bell pepper.

  4. I could eat a ton of this - it is so delicious!!! I did omit the bacon, added some pre-micrwaved choppe onion and put under the broiler to brown toward the end. I think this is really good as leftovers as well. Thank you CrystalA ***

  5. Good recipe, but should be called Heart Attack potatoes. Guess I made them even worse. I added a half of cup of sour cream, and a half cup of french fried cheese onions, from the can. Added a teaspoon of garlic powder as suggested by jachristensen, and am glad I did. Doubled the recipe, and froze half, before baking, for another day. (These potato casseroles do freeze well). Found I had to extend baking time by 15 minutes from original recipe.
