  1. This was a great dessert that my family just loved. I love vanilla yogart and I'm always looking for different ways to use it in recipes since we always have it in the house. The chocolate chips made this cake extra moist. Thanks for posting this, Kerrbear!

  2. I tasted the batter while mixing and it didn't have much flavor so I added almond & butter extract, and the choc portion had way to much cocoa. It looked dry when I took it out of the oven, and that's exactly what it was, DRY! I was so disappointed with this cake!!

  3. Yum! I had some Stonyfield Farms French vanilla yogurt to use up and was glad to find this recipe. Unlike the other reviewer, we didn't find this overly "vanilla-y," so maybe brand of yogurt does make a difference. Apparently I didn't do a very good job cutting in the chocolate batter since the finished cake looked like two distinct layers. It was still very tasty. Took the cake out at one hour, it was still a little dry so I'll watch that better next time. Didn't glaze the cake but that would be good, too. Overall, very tasty, and as cakes go, pretty lowfat. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  4. My DH wasn't too sure about this, I think we both found the vanilla a little too strong (apparently the yogurt was a lot of vaniilla) but other than that, tasty overall. I would use a plain yogurt next time and maybe up the vanilla extract a bit.
