  • Do not preheat oven!
  • Mix Crisco and butter; add sugar and eggs, one at a time, and milk.
  • Beat after each ingredient and egg is added.
  • Add flour, baking powder and salt to mixture.
  • Add flavoring.
  • Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350°.

    This was my Mother's pound cake recipe. I made it and it turned out Amazing! Moist and delicious. No more two step Pound cakes for me. This is it!!!

    Where do you get my mom's special recipe? I thought it was a family secret! Lol. Great with a mix of vanilla extract, lemon zest and almond extract. Sometimes i uss cake flour for a lighter crumb.
