ingredients
- 3 lbs beef short ribs
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 (10 ounce) can condensed beef broth
- 1 cup dried apricot
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon clove
directions
- Dust ribs with flour; brown in shortening in a large, heavy pan. Pour off excess drippings. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover. Cook over low heat about 2 1/2 hours or until tender, turning ribs and basting with sauce occasionally.
