Toffee Oatmeal Cookies

"Yummy cookies that will cure your candy craving. The cookies come out crispy and with the melted chocolate on top, they are absolutely delicious."

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour (may need 1-3/4 c)
• 1 3⁄4 cups oatmeal
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup butter (not margarine)
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 (12 ounce) bag Hershey chocolate candy bars

directions

1. 1) Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. 2) Mix flour, oatmeal, baking soda, and baking powder.
3. 3) Cream together butter and brown sugar.
4. 4) Add egg and vanilla.
5. 5) Slowly mix in flour and oatmeal mixture.
6. 6) Drop by spoonfull on a cookie sheet.
7. 7) Bake for 8 minutes.
8. 8)Immediately after taking cookies out of oven, place 1 square of chocolate on each cookie and spread around.
