DIRECTIONS

  • Cream butter and sugar, add slightly beaten egg yolk.
  • Add flour and vanilla and beat well.
  • Spread in greased pan (I use a jelly roll pan).
  • Bake at 250 degrees until batter is slightly brown and firm enough not to jiggle when pan is shaken (about 30 minutes).
  • Remove from oven and immediately lay the unwrapped Hershey bars on top. After 2 or 3 minutes, spread the melted candy over the bars to form an icing.
  • Let cool. I usually stick the pan in the fridge to speed this process up.
