  1. Great tip for any cold pasta-based salad, thanks! I realized last time I made a pasta salad that the dressing soaked right up into the noodles and it tasted too "dry." I was trying to figure out why...This will do the trick, I'm sure! Thanks!

  2. This "trick" definitely works well. I always have to add more mayo before serving macaroni salad since the dressing always soaks in leaving it dry. I was amazed at the difference it made to let the cooked macaroni sit overnight in the fridge with a cup of water. No more dry macaroni salad.. it stayed creamy even the day after serving it. Thanks for sharing ..it's definitely a keeper.

  3. This did not work for me. It added liquid to my dressing. I don't know how because my dressing is never runny, It's almost like the macaroni had absorbed water and then released it into the dressing making it soupy. I will not do this again. What I normally do is make dressing and add only half to the cooked macaroni, refrigerated for about an hour and then add remaining dressing before serving. This way works much better!
