My grandmother and mother have been making this cake for years, i know well over 40 years, I have since made this cake and its still my favorite, over the years I have noticed the square from the chocolate is different, before my grandmother passed away she told my to use less chocolate, and it worked out better.

Well, I did make it and did eat it and it is very very sweet but very good. Next time I think I'll put the pecans in the batter. This is well worth a try. I'll make it again!
