- 10 ounces honey
- 6 ounces soy sauce
- 8 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice
- 2 ounces lemon juice
- 1 1⁄4 tablespoons ground ginger
- 1⁄2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons dry mustard
- flank steak (or sirloin steak, amount not given)
directions
- Whisk honey, soy sauce, pineapple juice, lemon juice, ginger, garlic and mustard until smooth.
- Cut steak across the grain into 1/2 inch strips. Trim fat and cut into 1/2 inch cubes (or leave in strips if you prefer to thread longer strips on skewers).
- Marinate in honey mixture for 24 hours.
- Cook as desired on skewers over a grill or however you prefer.

I am not sure if this an exact copycat of tgif's steak on a stick or not it has been a long time since it has been on their menu. This recipe is pretty good,but I do think there is slightly more lemon juice than is needed and I am not sure if ginger shouldn't be omitted altogether. Ginger comes through pretty strong.
