Spinach Dip

"I added artichoke hearts to this, but it's good just like it's listed. I'm glad I doubled the recipe. Recipe courtesy of America's Best Recipes, a 1990 hometown edition, and The Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center of Memphis, Tennessee. This is originally from Elvis Fans Cookbook, Volume 3."

  • Combine spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, water chestnuts, green onions, and soup mix in a medium mixing bowl, stirring well.
  • Cover and chill at least 6 hours.
  • Using a gentle sawing motion, cut vertically to, but not through, bottom of loaf, 1/2 inch from edge.
  • Lift out center of loaf and cut bread into 1 inch cubes and set aside.
  • Fill hollowed bread loaf with dip and serve with bread cubes.
