Smoky Beans for a Crowd

"This makes enough to feed a herd of people. I picked this up from one of the school's drive through suppers. Will probably come in handy if I ever have another family reunion or the like."

  • In a large Dutch oven, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 3 tablespoons drippings. Set bacon aside.
  • In the drippings, saute onions until tender. Combine beans, sausage, bacon and onions.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients; add to bean mixture and mix well.
  • Pour into four greased 13 x 9 inch baking dishes.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 350ºF for 45-55 minutes or until heated through.
