Slow Cooker Savory Cranberry Pork Butt Roast

"I found a pork loin recipe in an email from All Recipes and that was my inspiration for this. I really wanted a Crock Pot recipe using the Pork Butt roast which is a budget stretcher compared to loins. This version turned out moist and flavorful. The original version used apple jelly instead of the marmalade. Use the one you like best."

  1. Very nice flavors with this recipe - it's fruity without being too sweet. I chose the orange marmalde and we were very happy with the results. Thank you for posting this unusual recipe.

  2. This didn't knock my socks off but it is a solid GOOD. Easy to prep and perfect for a busy fall day. The whole family ate it including the 2 & 5 year olds. Left overs were good too. I too think this would be nice with chicken. I will likely make this again.

  3. Pork roast & I don't get along too well, even though I love it!!! However, I do think this would be GREAT for chicken, too! When I DO make it, I'll give it a proper review & rating. THANKS for the idea!!!

  4. Delicious!<br/>When I seared the pork butt I did roll it seasoned flour. Also, the next time I make this, I will add a bit more mustard. However, this was VERY popular in my house. There weren't any left overs. Always a good sign.
