While I wouldn't make this for Christmas dinner it sure did make a tasty weeknight supper. The chicken is tender and moist. After reading Rita's review I took her suggestion and used scant 1/2 pf a sauce packet and cooked on low for 5 hrs (my small chicken was under 3 lbs). For the veggies I used a frozen mix of broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. This was very easy to make.Reply

This doesn`t give you crisp skin BUT it sure does give you tender fall apart chicken. I made 1 - 4 pound chicken (that I placed butter under the skin), 16 ounce stew veggies (potato, carrots, and pearl onions) and 1 packet of sauce mix. I did think the mix was a bit to salty. !/2 a packet would be more then enough. I cooked 5 hours on high. Thanks for the goodness. Made for adopt a chef.Reply
