Very nice comforting tea. You can easily adjust it to your own taste, whether you like strong cinnamon flavor or light. I made it with Mexican cinnamon- it is lighter colored and loose, sort of crumbly but very tasty! It has a lighter flavor and is sweeter, doesn't have the bitterness cinnamon can have sometimes. I really liked the tea. I understand cinnamon is also good for mental health as well as a multitude of other things. I did not add walnuts as I didn't have them on hand, but I'll have to try that next time. I love the color the tea turns as it's boiling- like a deep pinkish red. Thanks chef FIFI for a simply made nice tea recipe. I'm sure I'll be using this a lot this winter!

This has a good amount of cinnamon taste that improves on the proceeding cups. I have tried sweetening with brown sugar, white sugar, grocery store honey/pasteurized (raw local honey is the way to go and I will use it or nothing for all the next times) I have tried this without any sweetener already for the health benefits only and it was fine. I know and have read both cinnamon and walnuts do promote healing postpartum so there is truth in the tradition. I will make this again. Originally made for Ramadan Tag.
