Sand Pudding Recipe

"This is a recipe I shared last summer, but it was a big hit so I am sharing it here today and making up a batch for my family! The ingredients were simple as were the instructions to create this dessert that will have people wondering if it is REALLY sand or not. I brought it to our family reunion last Saturday after the Walk and it was quickly gobbled up! My daughter asked if I would make it again the next day. I'm pretty sure she single handedly ate half the pail herself. ;) Seriously though, this was very quick & easy dessert to put together with a LOT of wow factor included. This is a super quick & easy summer time dessert that is sure to be the talk of the party!"

  1. I made this recipe for my child’s beach themed end of the year classroom party. It was a great experience to make it with my child and it was pretty easy. We didn’t have a mixer or food processor, so it was heavy on the elbow grease. Lol I put the Oreos and wafers in a ziploc bag with a rolling pin and fists crushed everything up. The cream cheese was the hardest thing to get smoothed out but it took a little work. If you also don’t have a mixer let it soften for a while before mixing by hand. All in all - the taste was amazing, the kids loved it and it was fun to make. Not expensive either. (Thank you great value brand)

  2. So the first time I tried this was at my friend's daughter's first birthday party and I fell in love. I just had to have it again. So I decided to make it for my family Christmas party and ended up tripling the recipe just to have enough. Everyone loved it. But before I make a batch that big again, I'm definitely going to have to get an electric food processor. Breaking down all those cookies by hand was no joke

  3. I have two of the same buckets shown in your post. Will this recipe fill one or two buckets??

  4. This recipe succeeds on two counts - it's creative and fun for summer, and it's also rich and delicious! The cream cheese mixture makes the pudding rich and satisfying, and the cool whip gives it a great texture. The cookies look just like sand and even cling together like sand. Definitely worth a try for a fun, tasty summer dessert.
