  • Combine the corn syrup, sugar, butter and egg in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 2 minutes without stirring.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and pecans. Serve warm or at room temperature.

  1. This is fantastic! I'm going to serve it over some bread pudding this evening, and whatever's left is going on some caramel French toast in the morning! Very easy to make and delicious. Make sure you watch this closely during the boiling process, as it does climb a bit in the pot.

As my name suggests, I am a part-time hobbit, escaping to my quiet life in the Shire whenever I can. In reality, I am a busy student who uses cooking as therapy. I am severely gluten intolerant and mildly dairy intolerant, so most of the recipes I post/comment on will be compatible with my dietary restrictions.
