  • Place the porridge oats into a saucepan.
  • Add the milk.
  • Place onto stove on medium heat.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • When boiled, take off heat.
  • Mash the banana and serve on top.

  1. I like porridge for breakfast, especially in winter, as it's warming and gives me just the right slow-releasing energy I need. Adding a mashed banana to the top makes a nice change from having it just plain. I also indulged and had a little maple syrup over the top.
     
  2. I wanted oat meal and I had a banana that "needed to be eaten". This was just the thing. I mushed it altogher and scooped it up with my hot buttered toast. Yum
