  • Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Blend in eggs, vanilla and almond extract.
  • Whisk together dry ingredients and add to peanut butter mixture just until blended.
  • Bake in a well-greased 9x13 pan for 15-18 minutes at 350°F.

  1. OK, this is difficult because as I made the recipe I realized there are basically no directions. So I improvised. I creamed the sugars, peanut butter and shortening. Then I added the eggs & extracts. Sifted together the dry ingredients and added to wet. There is no temperature for the oven--I used 350 degrees. The directions say "bake on cookie sheet." How? Mold it, spread it? I used a 9x9 pan (looking at similar recipes) and I should have used a 9x13; it was too thick to bake well. The recipe has potential; it tasted good albeit a bit dry because of the amount of time I needed to bake it (30 minutes or more). It needs some clarification. I'll try it again, though. Made for 3 Chefs November 2009.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
