  1. OMG! OMG! Give your husband three big kisses on his forehead for me and a big hug! I ate these at Burnet Jr. High School in Austin, TX between 1966 and 1968!! I have always wanted the recipe. Thank him for me.

  2. I needed to use up some corn flakes so I made the recipe. I only had 1/2 cup of peanut butter, so I halved it. And I didn't want bars - so I made drop cookies. They turned out great. A little crumbly to eat, but still tasted good.

  3. We use to have these for dessert in elementary school. The only difference is that ours were shaped into balls. Great recipe.

Tweaks

  1. Instead of cutting into squares, try rolling them into golf ball size or bigger balls. A classic treat!

I'm originally from Tennessee but moved to Louisiana when I married my husband. In addition to cooking I enjoy making quilts, sewing, reading, and gardening. I have an immense collection of cookbooks but find the majority of my recipes online. I like it that they are rated. I am the mother of three children. My son is now with the Lord. My two girls are grown and married. My youngest has two young children.
