Questions & Replies

  1. where can I find/buy jalapeno juice

  2. Can this be safely canned? I would like to be able to be able to store in fridge or on shelf for up to 2 or 3 months without losing flavor and still be safe to eat. Anyone with any experience with this? Thank you.

Reviews

  1. I have tried so many "On the Boarder" recipes and this one is a grande slam! It is as close to the actual OTB salsa that I have ever tried. The OTB salsa itself is a bit to spicy for me so I cut the cayenne pepper in half. Once done I tried it right out of the blender (okay but nothing special) then let it sit for an hour or so and BAM. Flavors all across the board! If you like salsa in general then try this! My roommates and I have already eaten the whole serving in about 8 hours (all 3 of us really love good salsa)

  2. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST salsa ever!!! It’s our go to recipe for any gathering or just enjoying fresh salsa at home. Everyone always raves about it so we have no reason to even try or use any other recipe. Thank you for sharing this jackpot!!

  3. So glad to find this recipe! I did substitute dried garlic 1/4 teaspoon and inadvertently added paprika instead of cayenne. I missed the heat but the flavor was great! Next time I plan to make sure I have the cayenne bottle!

  4. Spot-on to OTB's.

  5. Thank you!! This is delicious just like On the Border’s.

Tweaks

  1. Substituted Mexican diced tomatoes for the regular diced ones. 2 Jalapenos instead of 1 for more temperature.
