ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 2 eggs
• 1⁄4 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup water
• 5 tablespoons cocoa
• frosting
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 5 tablespoons cocoa
• 6 tablespoons whipping cream
• 1 box powdered sugar

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl mix sugar and flour.
3. In a saucepan mix butter, water and cocoa; heat until ingredients are blended and add to the dry ingredients.
4. Add buttermilk, baking soda aned eggs; mix well-the batter will be wet but not stiff.
5. Pour into a greased and floured 9X14 pan and bake for 25-30 minutes-it will be just slightly baked.
6. In a saucepan mix butter, cocoa and whipping cream.
7. Heat, stirring until blended.
8. Add powdered sugar.
9. Pour frosting over hot cake.
10. Let cool and serve.
