Mrs Evan's Apple Cake

Thirty-three years ago I met Elaine Nelson. Her Mother, Mrs. Evans, would make this cake for her. She would always share with me. I make it to share with everyone too. It is a gift of love, as is Elaine and her dear Mother, Virginia.

This cake is fabulous! It's very dense, like a coffee cake. I used the OJ option and did not make any changes to the recipe, and it turned out great. The bake time seems a bit long, but it's so dense that it really needs it. My husband loves it and asked if I can make more. This will definitely go in my favorite recipes section.Reply
