Maple Pepper Steaks

- 1⁄2 cup maple syrup
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon thyme, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 (8 ounce) beef tenderloin steaks (1 1/2 inch thick)
directions
- Combine all ingredients, except for he steaks in a blender and process until blended.
- In a bowl or marinating dish combine beef with half of the marinade/sauce and let stand for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours. Remove steaks from marinade and discard.
- Grill steaks, basting with remaining sauce until done.

<p>I love cooking and trying different foods, but my favorite cookbooks are now Weight Watchers or low fat/low cal cookbooks as I tend to try and make low fat/low cal recipes.
