ingredients
- 1 pint strawberry
- 2 kiwi fruits
- 1⁄4 cup strawberry syrup (such as Nestle's, it can be found in the chocolate syrup section)
- 10 3⁄4 ounces frozen pound cake
- 8 ounces vanilla pudding, prepared from dry mixture (or even easier, use premade pudding from the dairy section)
directions
- Wash strawberries, cut stems off and cut into bite-size pieces. Place in medium mixing bowl. Cut ends off kiwi and peel. Quarter kiwi, cut into bite-size pieces and add to strawberries. Add strawberry syrup and mix. Refrigerate.
- Remove frozen cake from packaging and place on a microwave-safe plate; a paper plate is o.k. too. Microwave on high for 1 minute, or until cake is thawed. Cut cake in half widthwise, then in half horizontally, making 4 equal pieces of cake. Place 1 cake on each serving plate and cover if not serving right away.
- Just before serving, divide pudding equally on top of each cake. Divide strawberry mixture equally over pudding. Serve.

Our family moved to Florida from New York in the 90's, so I've brought not only many of the recipes my family has passed down, but have learned to cook some great Southern dishes as well.? When I found RZ, it opened up a whole new world of cooking -- cuisine from different countries, tried-and-true family hand-me-down recipes, and some interesting and delicious dishes I would never have found on my own.
