Jack Bone's Sauce
"This is from "Pon Top Edisto". Supposedly this was a favorite of a famous lowcountry hog hunter and alligator wrestler named Jack Bone. All I know is it is killer on chicken on the grill."

ingredients
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 cup chopped tomato
- 1⁄2 cup minced onion
- 4 tablespoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 lb brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chopped sweet basil
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan; simmer 1 hourr.
