Hershey Syrup Chocolate Pound Cake

"My mom's recipe. She says I make it better but I think it's her way of getting me to make it:o)"

• Yields: 1 pound cake

ingredients

• 5 eggs
• 3 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup Crisco
• 1 - 1 1⁄2 cup milk
• 2 tablespoons cocoa
• 3 cups plain flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 (16 ounce) can Hersheys Chocolate Syrup

directions

1. Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to mixture. Add vanilla. Add chocolate syrup last. Pour into greased and floured 10" tube pan. Start in cold oven. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester (or toothpick) comes out clean.
