"This is a recipe I found when I was on Weight Watchers and liked it enough to keep making it even when we weren't counting points. A good comforting soup for chilly days."

  1. Fast, easy, and good.True that it doesn't have a lot of taste, and I found myself adding quite a bit of salt and pepper to it. I might try smoked ham in the future.
  2. This had no flavor - I used fresh sage - but followed the rest of the recipe. I used boiled ham - perhaps it needed black forest or another kind.
  3. This soup was not only delicious, it was beautiful! Hearty without being heavy, full of good things for you. I'm happy to have found it. Thanks!
  4. Lovely soup! Found it very satisfying on a cold and rainy night! So easy to make and good for you, too! Only changes that I made was to add salt and pepper, and I served it with Parmesan cheese. Will definitely makes this again!
  5. I made this for lunch Saturday and never got back to review it. I loved it! I had to make one change. I used a can of light red kidney beans rather than the white kidney beans because that was what I had on hand. I can't imagine it could be any better using a different bean. One thing I will remember to do next time that I make this is to coarsley cut the spinach before I add it. I added a fresh ground of black pepper when I served it and it was wonderful. Thanks for posting this one.
