ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1⁄2 cup unsweetened dried shredded coconut
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, add brown sugar, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Add oatmeal and coconut, mix. Let mixture cool then mix in baking powder. Press into greased square baking pan. Bake 1/2 hour. Cut into squares while still hot.

These are decadent and delish!!. They are chewy, butterscotch bars with a coconut flavour. I thought they might turnout like a granola bar...but not even close. Such an easy receipe with ingredients you probably have on hand. My new go to receipe...will be making this one often. You gotta try it!!!!!
