French Toast

- 1 cup half-and-half
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons honey, warmed 20 seconds in microwave
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 4 slices bread
directions
- In a mixing bowl whisk half and half, eggs, honey, salt, french vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Lay bread into the mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes, if not fully covered flip it and let it sit another 5 minutes.
- Melt a little butter in a pan and cook each slice until golden crispy on each side.
- Serve with your favorite toppings. (I perfer a light sprinkling of powdered sugar and some high grade maple syrup.).

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! I was looking for something a little different from the usual French Toast and this definitely fit the bill. I substituted Blue Agave nectar for the honey strictly due to my own personal taste and it was wonderful!! My 6 yr old gave it her seal of approval as well--and she's a very picky eater. Thanks again!!
