Easy Meat Sauce for Pasta - Quick and Wonderful!

- 3 lbs pasta sauce
- 1 1⁄2 lbs pasta sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 1⁄2 lbs lean ground beef
- 3⁄4 cup chopped onion
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 3⁄4 cup red wine
directions
- Pour all sauce (both bottles) into a heavy pot or Dutch oven. Start heating the sauce over med-low heat.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a sauté pan (medium heat) then sprinkle salt, pepper and parsley over. Cook the meat--chop up the meat as much as you can while cooking it- until cooked through. Then add the meat to the sauce.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in the same pan and sauté the garlic until cooked and slightly brown --don’t overcook. Then pour the garlic into the sauce.
- Heat the remaining 1 Tbsp of olive oil into the same pan and sauté the onions until soft and light brown. Then add the onions to the sauce.
- Pour the red wine into the sauce.
- Simmer partially covered for 1 hour (mixing often) over low heat.
- Serve over your favorite pasta - cooked al denté -- sprinkle with grated parmesan.
