- 18 ounces white cake mix
- 2 (16 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
- 1⁄2 cup butter (melted)
directions
- Pour cherries in 13 x 9 pan.
- Put cake mix on top, do not mix.
- Put melted butter on top.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

The first time I made a dump cake (that is what I call it), I was 11 years old at Girl Scout camp. We made it over an open fire and it was yummy. My twins and I made this together. It turned out great and tasted exactly the way I remember it. Thanks for a fun time in the kitchen with my kids and a quick/easy dessert.

I am a stay at home mom with 3 boys.I love to cook and bake and my youngest son who is 3 years old loves to help me.....I find whenever he does help out he is more willing to eat what we make so that is always a plus!
