This is the perfect meal to throw into the crockpot before running out the door for the day. I used a tri tip roast, which I removed all visible fat. I did add the diced onion, but since I didn't have a green pepper on hand, I just poured the bottle of barbecue sauce over it all and cooked on high for six hours. This change in heat level was unintentional but it turned out perfect. Everybody at the table enjoyed them very much, and I'll definately make these again. I served these these BBQ beef sandwiches with french fries and of course burger buns. Next time, I may throw together a coleslaw as side dish. Oh, and there will be a next time!
