This is a tasty little cookie! They are a little on the sticky side when rolling. I used a 1 Tbsp sized cookie scoop which helped and got a full 5 dozen cookies. I found I had to let them sit on the cookie sheet for a couple minutes before removing to the bakers rack to cool or they'd break apart easily. Didn't at all if left awhile.

Yum! These little guys are tasty. I was a little concerned b/c I only had fat free cream cheese on hand, but that doesn't appear to have hurt a thing! Given that I had to make that change I decided to health 'em up a bit and also used Smart Balance. They turned out great, and you are absolutely right they would be divine with coffee or tea. Thanks so much for posting--I will definitely pull this recipe out at Christmas if not before! Made for PAC Spring 08.

I found the cookies a little too messy to roll in balls so I put the cookie dough in a plastic bag with a small corner cut off. I squeezed the cookie dough in little blobs on the cookie sheet. They spread out perfectly as they baked. The cookies were a perfect combination of crisp, crunchy on the edges and chewy in the middle. I found the recipe as written a little bland so I added a little more spices. Hubby & son, on the other hand liked the earlier batches before I added more spices. Made for PAC, Spring 2008
