  1. Very tasty and easy too! I used canned crab meat and halved the recipe. It was a little too salty probably because of the canned crab. Next time I will leave out the extra salt. It definately reminds me of crab cakes but without the frying!

  2. This is good. And SO easy. Just mix in a bowl & dump into a casserole. I didn't have the time to boil the eggs, so I left them out. But I added a cup of leftover sweet peas, a piece of rye bread for flavor, and some shredded Swiss cheese. YUM.

  3. Very Good!! I left the mayonnaise out of this because DH doesn't like it. Instead I used 1/2 can cream of shrimp soup and 1/2 cup sour cream. Then I followed the recipe (used lump crab meat). This really turned out great and I will be making it again! Thanks for posting!

  4. Sorry, but this was really not what I expected. I followed the recipe except no egg, and sauteed celery & onion before combining everything. Just way too much "filling." While I was making it, I realized the proportions of breadcrumbs to crab and even added 3/4 c grated swiss cheese to the mixture and more on top. But it was still almost like "stuffing with crab." MAYBE doubling the amount of crab would help. DH and DD didn't like it either and I ended up throwing half of it in the trash which is unfortunate b/c I used really good (expensive) crab. Sorry!

  5. Served this when family was in town. It was very good. Very easy, kind of like a crab cake. Will add more egg and celery and bell pepper next time, and possibly old bay seasoning. Thanks for sharing.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
