  1. OMG, I can't get over how easy and delicious this recipe is. It's the ultimate comfort food with minimal effort. I tried it with ground turkey (thanks for the suggestion, ClarkeCC) and Boston Market Turkey gravy. When I saw my boyfriend run back to the kitchen for seconds, I knew I had a winner.

  2. This is definitely going on my list of comfort food standby recipes. I lowered the calories a bit more by using ground turkey, instead of ground beef. Also I made a vegetarian version by substituting veggie crumbles for the meat, and by using mushroom gravy. Also I added a tsp of black pepper and a 1/2 tsp of cayenne to the gravy to give t a little punch.

  3. This is my standby salisbury steak recipe from now on. I love the addition of stuffing. Makes it very moist and flavorful! I browned the patties on the stove, then flash froze them. We thawed them at a later date and served them with a packet of brown gravy. YUM!

  4. I did a few changes, but this worked out soooo well for my family! My folks and my 7 year old ate 5 servings together. I used seasoned breadcrumbs, because I didn't have stuffing and added a little garlic powder on top of the patties before I cooked them. For the beef gravy, I put it in the gravy boat and microwaved it, because I had 2 pans going with peas and egg noodles and that was enough. :) This was a nice meal, for sure! Thank you!

  5. Made this for my husband last night and he was in "comfort food" heaven! This is definately a keeper and look forward to serving again. It is quick and easy and is so moist and delicious. Thanks for submitting this recipe!

I've been cooking since I was a child. Best memories are sitting on the kitchen counter while my mother was baking. I had my own spices and bowl to experiment with. My favorite chef I think is Paula Deen. She is cheerful and isn't a perfectionist when it comes to cooking.
