- 1 corned beef, around 3 pounds (save seasoning packet)
- 1 large head of cabbage, sliced into large chunks
- 1 quart water
- 1 cup garlic wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
- 2 -3 teaspoons dill seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
- 1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
directions
- In a large dutch oven or pot add water and seasonings. Next, add corned beef and cabbage. Cover and bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer 4 hours until tender. Enjoy.
