This was fresh tasting. I love the fact there's no cinnamon. We ended up with about double the apple and added a dash of vanilla. We have made this 5 times in the last week to give to neighbors and take to my husband's work to share! I have also e mailed this recipe to two other family members! Thank you!

Excellent. Had a wonderful crop of apples this year and have made up a good number of apple desserts. Used your Chopped Apple Cake recipe to make both the cake and the muffins. The baking time for the muffins worked well for me. With muffins being a favorite here I definitely am going to put a stash of these muffins into the freezer to have on hand when family and friends drop by as well as adding this recipe to my apple favorites. Thank you and thank your grandma ... those old fashioned 'grandma' recipes are for most part hard to beat!

Delicious! This is a wonderful old fashioned recipe. So simple and yet so good. I didn't have enough white sugar when I went to make this so I used brown instead and it worked wonderfully. I used a bit more than 1 cup of apples, since I asked my son to core them and he had four done before I could stop him (new apple-corer kitchen gadget). Anyway, I diced and added all of them. This is the first time in ages I have made an apple dessert without cinnamon, a very nice change. Thanks, Breeze144.

I like baking fun treats way more than cooking an actual meal! My favorite things to make are muffins, cookies and pancakes. Since joining Zaar I've been making awesome meals. I can't believe I'm marinating and grilling and cooking like never before!
My rating system:
***** - Fabulous! I loved it, everyone here loved it, and we can't wait to make it again! A keeper and a recipe I'd recommend.
**** - Nice recipe! 'Good' as opposed to 'great', but still worth making again!
*** - Not so hot. We didn't love it, but maybe it was just because of our palates. Won't make again, but not because there was something wrong with the recipe.
** - Disappointing. Something's not right, or turned out really bad or hardly edible.
* - Does this recipe need to be proof read? I think something was missing or there was a typo because this recipe is totally un-useable.
