  1. I had an incredible chocolate craving this morning and Bertha came to my rescue with her Chocolatey Hot Cocoa! I had to substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips as I didn't have any milk chocolate on hand. I had trouble melting the chips in my double boiler (it may have been the size), so I used the microwave and it worked beautifully. This recipe is strictly for true chocolate lovers only! Intensely rich and decadently flavorful! Thank you, Bertha for a delicious 1 cup recipe. Just right!

  2. LOVED IT! This was a delicious cup of hot cocoa! I made an extra cup for my hubby and he loved it also. The milk chocolate really brings out the flavor! It's winter now where we live and this was a warming beverage to have! Prepared as a participant in the Comfort Cafe Event January 2009.

I am married and have three children ages 9 to 16. I work full-time so between work and attending as many school functions as I can possibly fit in, I have little time to prepare "gourmet" type dishes which require a lot of preparation time. I like tasty, quick-fix meals that use ingredients that are usually in my house and don't require an extra trip to the store. When I'm not waiting on my family or working, I like to do counted cross-stitch and recently started a new hobby----quilting.
