  • Combine cherries and vinegar in a stainless or enamel pot.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Boil gently for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile sterilize 4 1/2 pint jars.
  • Pour vinegar mixture thourgh 2-3 layers of wet cheesecloth.
  • Return vinegar to the pot and boil for 1 minute more.
  • Ladle into clean hot jars.
  • Process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
