- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
- 1⁄4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 3 tablespoons boiling water
directions
- Heat oven to 400*. Mix pie filling and lemon peel in square pan, 8x8x2". Combine baking mix and butter in small bowl. Add water; stir vigorously until dough forms a ball and cleans the bowl. (Dough will be puffy and soft.) Drop dough by spoonfuls onto fruit mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm and, if you wish, with light cream.
