"This cheese spread is a little different as it contains rum. This is taken from a cookbook issued by the Sisterhood of KK Beth Elohim Synagogue in Charleston, SC in 1977."

  • Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for an hour or so until flavors can blend.

  1. I am not giving any stars as I ended up altering the recipe. I made this as listed with a pre-packaged shredded cheese and it was just "OK". I felt it need a bit of something so I added a bit of garlic Mrs. Dash which was a great improvement (we love garlic). I will try again with a better quality cheese, I think the quality of the cheese will make a big difference.
