ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese, at room temperature
- 1⁄4 lb softened butter
- 2 -3 tablespoons jamaican rum
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)
directions
- Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for an hour or so until flavors can blend.

I am not giving any stars as I ended up altering the recipe. I made this as listed with a pre-packaged shredded cheese and it was just "OK". I felt it need a bit of something so I added a bit of garlic Mrs. Dash which was a great improvement (we love garlic). I will try again with a better quality cheese, I think the quality of the cheese will make a big difference.
