I've never really made southern food before, but we're so happy I tried! This recipe was so good! The only changes I made were to use extremely lean ground beef and instant brown rice. It was so comforting on a cold evening and so fast to put together and cook. The leftovers didn't keep as well as I hoped. They became mushy. If you have a tip for storing, I'd love to know because I plan on making this again. Thank for for sharing this great recipe!

Sherrybeth this is so very good! I love cabbage so had to tag this one and wasnt disappointed. I did use two cans of stewed tomatoes and ground round. Wonderful the next day warmed up for lunch. Will be making this again and give it a try in my crockpot. Thank you hon!! Made and reviewed for PAC 2007.

OH my goodness!! This was so incredibly delicious. We love pork and cabbage and this combination is simply out of this world. I had to add more water (maybe 1/3 cup) to keep it from sticking to the bottom of my pot. Also, I threw in a teaspoon of thyme since my sausage seemed a little on the bland side. Other than that, no changes - tres magnifique' ~
