  • DUMP all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix with electric mixer on medium speed for 15 minutes.
  • Pour batter into greased Bundt or tube cake pan.
  • Put into COLD oven.
  • Set oven temperature at 325 degrees and bake for 1 hour 20 minutes, or until cake tests done.

    I first made this recipe from a church cookbook. It never fails!

    Wow. This is amazing and amazingly easy! So tender, moist and lovely. It almost tastes like it has brown sugar in it, which I love! I also used almond and vanilla extracts and baked in 2 loaf pans for 1 hr 10 min with wonderful results. I cannot wait to try this with other flavors and perhaps stir in some chips or fruit.

    Very good cake. Not quite as heavy as a traditionally made pound cake but not too far off. I used lemon extract and made an orange glaze to put on top for a nice citrus flavored cake. Almost as fast and easy to put together as a cake mix but without the preservatives and artificial taste.
