Great Recipe!! Lovely flavor, this is going to be a keeper. And may I suggest serving it with recipe#87966 Chocolate gravy? My family loved it, I am sending a piece to work for his lunch pail. think this will travel well, and with a side of the chocolate gravy to warm in the microwave, I think there may be a few jealous people wanting him to share. Thank you!

Believe it not; this recipe works! I was very skeptical as recipe I have tried traditionally calls for extensive creaming butter and sugar. This had an very fine texture, a little sweeter than some cakes, and very light in color. I did use softened butter however instead of shortening and it was excellent.
