  • Place butter in a large mixing bowl - whip for 3-5 minutes until very fluffy.
  • Add 4 cups of powdered sugar and combine well.
  • Add milk & vanilla and continue to combine.
  • Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time until frosting is thick and spreadable **you may not use all 8 cups**.

  5. This is an awesome frosting! Thank you so much for sharing. It whipped up thick & beautiful and it wasn't too sweet or rich which is what I was afraid of. I used this on my sisters wedding cake and this recipe really saved my bacon. I was making it at the last minute to put on when the original frosting I made separated and literally glooped off the cake to puddle around the bottom.
